Michael Sadlier graduated from UCD Veterinary College in 1983 and has spent the past 40 years in veterinary clinical practice, with a primary focus on equine medicine. His career has taken him around the world, working in Ireland, the UK, USA, France, Australia, New Zealand, and even a short stint managing a stud farm in Japan.

Throughout his career, Michael has held roles as assistant, partner, and practice owner, and holds the rare distinction of having successfully sold three veterinary practices. He is a dual Certificate holder in Equine Stud Medicine and Equine Orthopaedics from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Additionally, he was admitted, by examination, as a Member of the Australasian College of Veterinary Scientists in Equine Surgery.

During his time in clinical practice, Michael developed a particular interest in the impact of infrastructural projects and industrial developments on horses living nearby. This led to the founding of EVC, with a core mission focused on equine welfare.

To stay at the forefront of this evolving field, Michael is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Equine Behaviour and Welfare at the University of Edinburgh. Since stepping back from clinical work, his expertise has been increasingly sought after by veterinary colleagues and horse owners alike, prompting the expansion of EVC’s services.

Thanks to his extensive international experience, Michael also has access to a global network of equine experts, providing EVC with unique referral and collaboration opportunities.

Judith Curran worked with Allied Irish Bank Plc for 28 years, progressing to managerial level before transitioning to a new career as Office Manager at EVC. She brings extensive expertise in Financial Management, Human Resources, and the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. Judith also has significant experience ensuring data protection and regulatory compliance systems are robust and effective.
